Curriculum Design and Content
This curriculum is based on the “High-Quality Preschool English Teaching Program” concept of the Language Learning Association, emphasizing the cultivation of children’s English skills in natural, everyday language contexts. The curriculum design centers on diverse teaching models, including Shared Reading, which guides children to understand vocabulary and sentence patterns through picture book stories; Songs and Rhymes and Games, allowing children to repeatedly encounter English in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, enhancing their language sense and memory; and Phonics, helping children master letters and pronunciation rules, building a foundation for reading.
Benefits and Effectiveness of Early Childhood Learning
This curriculum design allows children to naturally acquire English through interaction and fun, avoiding the pressure of rote memorization. Through shared reading and songs, children can improve their listening and speaking skills; through games and nursery rhymes, they can cultivate teamwork and learning interest; and through phonics training, they can effectively lay a solid foundation for reading ability. The course also encourages parent-child learning, allowing parents to extend its application in daily life and create a continuous language environment. This teaching model not only enhances children’s language comprehension and expression abilities but also strengthens their self-confidence, laying a solid foundation for future English learning.
